Can you describe yourself in a few words?
Georgi Dinev- professional chef, working this job since he was 19. All my life I have worked only in Bulgaria because I love my home country and I think that there is a realization in Bulgaria as well. So far I have worked in three of the largest cities in Bulgaria, Varna, Sofia and Burgas. And in this restaurant, I have worked for eight years.

What is the reason you wanted to become a chef?
The story behind my choice it’s really funny. When I was 11 years old, I decided to surprise my mom for her birthday with a cake made by me. This story didn’t end up how I planned it because my mom didn’t get a cake and on top of that I burned out the kitchen.
Can you tell us a funny story from all this year of a chef?
They are a lot. But a certain one remains in my mind. A few years ago, I use to work in one really famous resort during the winter season. And in the middle of the evening, one of the colleagues asked me if he could open the window. I said of course. Then he opened the window and jumped out of it like he was escaping from a prison. After the shift, we found out that he has planned his escape. He had packed his suitcase and put it under the window and then called a taxi in advance.

Can you tell why you are so successful, what is the formula?
You need to be passionate about what you’re doing, you have to put love and a lot of effort too.
What is your favourite dish from the menu?
Ribs are my favourite because I love eating meat.
How you would rate the restaurant?
On a scale of one to six I would give five because I think there is always room for improvement.

What motivates you?
I like to make people happy through the food I’m cooking for them and when I cook, I feel calm, relaxed and it’s just my thing. I can’t imagine myself working for someone else and I also like the title chef. My heart melts when someone greets me good morning chef or goodbye chef.
